A Commitment to Excellence
The Dysart Community Center aims at offering all our students a broad and balanced curriculum that provides rewarding and stimulating activities to prepare them for the best social and cultural life.
Our Programs

Dysart Community Center’s Before & After School Club provides a safe, enriching environment for children and teens to thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.

At Dysart Community Center, our Teen Empowerment Program equips young people with the practical life skills, mentorship, and community connections they need to thrive.

Our seven-week Summer Camp Program is designed to support underprivileged youths by providing them with meaningful opportunities to prevent summer learning loss. Throughout the program, children engage in educational activities that help maintain and build upon their academic skills during the summer break.
Children participate in our program within a safe and nurturing environment, where their well-being is our top priority. We are committed to fostering a space where every child feels valued and supported.
Each day, participants receive breakfast, lunch, and snacks, ensuring that their nutritional needs are met. In addition to nutritious meals, children experience positive interactions and build relationships in a caring atmosphere.

For more than sixty years, we have been dedicated to assisting students in learning to speak, read, and write English. Our approach features one-on-one instruction in a supportive classroom environment. This individualized attention ensures that each person, especially those for whom English is not their first language, receives the guidance they need to succeed. By fostering these essential language skills, we empower students to thrive in the United States and become active participants in their communities.

The General Educational Development (GED) program offers adults and out-of-school youth an opportunity to earn a high school equivalency credential. GED classes are designed to help students master the knowledge and skills needed to pass the GED test, which covers five main subject areas: Reasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, Civics and Social Studies.

The High School Diploma program sponsored by The Alexandria Academy, provides individuals of all ages with the opportunity to earn missing credits necessary for graduation. This pathway allows students to achieve an internationally accredited high school diploma, opening doors for future academic and professional pursuits.
Classes within the program are structured to be positive and innovative, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for adult learners. The program is designed to reignite a passion for education, encouraging students to rediscover their love for learning, regardless of their age.
At the conclusion of the program, each student has the opportunity to participate in a traditional graduation ceremony. Dressed in cap and gown, graduates celebrate their significant accomplishment in front of friends and family, marking this momentous milestone in their educational journey.
